Books we have been enjoying....

This has been one of the loveliest books I have read for quite some time!

And the two that follow on were pretty good too.

Milly is really into Dragons and has had this since Christmas.

She requested this one.A friend at home ed group had it and she fell in love with it.It arrived today.

Some time ago I bought this one

and left it lying around for her to find.I thought the lovely cover and style inside would interest her.It didn't ....and has sat on the shelves since. However we have talked and done some investigations around Egyptians and I thought I would try again with this book.

She loves it and Cleopatra has now been rescued from the shelves to be checked out as well.

I buy lots of books, they go on the bookshelves and it's like having our own library - she'll discover a book or we will be talking about something and I'll say we have a book about that - go get it and we'll read it then but it could have been in the house for over a year.

I buy from charity shops/scout book sales mostly. We have those top three but C wasn't that keen. Maybe when she's older.

I LOVE books and trawl charity shops too. When we rejigged all the rooms and got more storage Alan said it wouldn't be long before they were full and we would need more shelves.I said oh don't be silly! Well less than a year later and we have little space left on the shelves....
You never know when an interest will be sparked:-)
