Wolf Poem by Millie

A WOLF POEM BY MILLIE BAMBER

A wolf sits on a rock

a howl runs through the morning

a tap tap tap on the soft earth

a clack clack clack on the old oak tree

a blackbird rises its wings and flies

a drip drip drip on the old waterfall

a wolf ,new this time, regal, sits above a cave

a whimper from the forest

the wolfess her eyes bright howls into the morning light and waits for her cubs to return……….

very good! do you read poetry generally? we're not terrifically creative here and C would never write something like that. If I were to suggest writing a poem she'd freeze and get stressed.

Milie will be happy with those comments thanks :-)

Mich, apart from a couple of T.S,Elliot poems my brother in law shared with her one evening we have not read any kind of poetry,it has not been something she has been interested in.We make up silly rhymes, but not on any regular basis. As with most things she produces this came from left field!!

Emily just came into the room one day having been upstairs for a while and this was read out to us.I would love to film her reading it out cos she does it with such emotion, really lovely:-)
